Also, there are several new infrastructure projects underway in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico:


International Airport Expansions: The Cancún International Airport had a major expansion project to increase its capacity and provide a better passenger experience. A new airport is proposed and started construction in Tulum, the goal is to help Cancun´s airport to recieve travellers, and to develop the southern areas of the state of Quintana Roo.


High-speed train: A new high-speed train is being planned to connect Cancún to other tourist destinations in the Riviera Maya, such as Tulum and Playa del Carmen. The train will reduce travel time between destinations and provide a more convenient and environmentally friendly mode of transportation.


New Marinas: Several new marinas are being built in the region, providing additional docking space for boats and yachts, and also boosting the area's tourism potential.


Affordable Housing Projects: The Mexican government is investing in several affordable housing projects in the Riviera Maya to help meet the growing demand for housing from both locals and tourists.
